If we can make it here, we can make it anywhere

Building a modern house that is self-sufficient on solar power is one thing. Doing it in a place where sunlight is absent for months at a time is something else entirely. This is why we initiated an experiment to prove that solar power, when combined with the right technology, can be a key part of the sustainable energy solutions of the future, even in the darkest of places.

Welcome to Zero Sun™

How it works

In summer, solar power is used for daily power needs. When the batteries are fully charged, excess energy is converted into hydrogen gas for usage during winter.

The unique power supply system makes our off-grid house support itself on solar energy. Even in the dark.

When the house at Vitberget in Skellefteå is completed, it will be a very special home. Even though it may not look like it.
